ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Waretown woman was part of a milestone at the Atlantic City mega-site on Tuesday.

Mindy Healy received the 250,000th vaccination appointment at the mega-site.

It was the second dose for Healy, who is a bartender at MJ’s Restaurant, Bar and Grill in Bayville.

“I’m so happy to have gotten my second dose,” Healy told AtlantiCare staff. “I want to be safe to serve my customers, many of whom are older, and to protect my family and everyone.”

Individuals seeking to be vaccinated at the mega-site can make an appointment at vaccination.atlanticare.org.

Vaccination hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. The mega-site is continuing its 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. walk-in vaccinations through May 8.

Walk-in vaccinations will be first come, first-served as vaccine supplies last. Those who have registered online and made an appointment through AtlantiCare will be prioritized.

If individuals seeking a walk-in appointment do not secure one, the mega-site staff will make them an appointment for the next available day.

“Providing a quarter of a million vaccinations takes extraordinary teamwork,” said Sherrie Bragg, a clinical facility manager at the mega-site. “We are so grateful for the support of the New Jersey Air National Guard, FEMA, the Coast Guard, and all those ensuring we are protecting our community through the mega-site and its off-site clinics."
