2,500 Jobs Open At New Amazon Distribution Center In Somerset

SOMERSET, NJ — Amazon is now hiring and is offering more than 2,500 new, full-time permanent positions ahead of the launch of its 600,000 square-foot cross-dock facility in Somerset.

The new location is expected to open by the end of the year in the Somerset section of Franklin Township at the corner of Weston Canal Road and Randolph Road.

The open positions have a starting wage of $15.75 per hour (and up) and comprehensive benefits that begin on day one, according to Amazon.

All new employees will go through safety training and will continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocols, which include mandatory masks and temperature screenings, six-foot social distancing and staggered shifts and break times.

Amazon will be supplying masks, gloves, thermal cameras, thermometers, disinfectant spraying in buildings, increased janitorial teams, additional handwashing stations, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, and piloting COVID testing.
