2 More Charged In Armed Robbery Of Youth In Montgomery

A Princeton teen and a Ewing woman were charged after a boy was hit in the head with a gun and a ski mask was placed over his head: Police.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Two more people were charged following a drug deal turned armed robbery of a youth in Montgomery earlier this year.

Kayla S. Burnett, 20, of Country Lane, Ewing, and Samuel P. Dyal, 18, of Wessex Place, Princeton, were both charged along with George C. Battle 4th, 18, of Drewes Court in Lawrence, who was previously charged in April. Read More: 1 Arrested, 2 At Large In Montgomery Armed Robbery

On Jan. 25, a juvenile said he made plans through a social media app to conduct a drug deal on Jan. 17 at about 6:30 p.m., said Robertson.

When the juvenile arrived a man entered the passenger seat of his car and pointed a black gun at him while a second man entered the back seat of his car and demanded his wallet, cell phone, car keys and hat, said Robertson.

The two men physically removed the juvenile from his car and ordered him into a silver BMW sedan driven by a woman. One of the men with a gun hit the victim over the head with the butt of the gun and a ski mask was placed over the victim's head, said Robertson.

The juvenile was driven to a nearby ATM where he was told to withdraw money $420 and gave it to the men and woman.

Burnett, Dyal and Battle were identified as being involved in the robbery following an investigation by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Montgomery Township Police Department.

Dyal was arrested at a relative's home in East Windsor on May 27 and charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed Robbery and second-degree luring.

On May 26, Burnett was arrested at the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office without incident and charged with third-degree theft by unlawful taking.

Battle was previously arrested on April 28 and charged with first-degree armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, second-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery and second-degree luring.
