AMA Pizza To Celebrate 1 Year Anniversary
The Hillsborough pizzeria is run by the Italy-born Confuorto family offering their family's Neapolitan recipes.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — AMA Pizza in Hillsborough is celebrating their one year anniversary on Saturday and is inviting the community to join in the festivities.
On Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. there will be a local accordion player strolling and playing some Neapolitan classics. They will also be serving their regular menu and will have their house made gelato served outside (weather permitting) from their imported cart from Italy.
Chef-Owner of AMA Pizza Achille Confuorto moved to the United States from Napoli in 1968 with his family. From an early age his mother taught him to cook, teaching him that if he wanted to continue to eat well, he would need to learn to make their family recipes.

He worked at different pizza shops for many years while raising his family. Once his sons were grown, he decided it was time to open his own shop. Thus Ama Pizza came to be.
"What I cook here is my family recipes," Confuorto said in a video of his history below.
