Fall Festival Brings Community Together

Powerhouse Gym in Hillsborough held its Fall Festival on Saturday at the gym.

Forty vendors contributed to the display of health, beauty and community information. All proceeds went to Somerset Medical Center.

Powerhouse Gym’s nutritionist, Anabela Bacchione, provided helpful information as she announced the next contest patterned after the Biggest Loser this fall.

A basket auction from contributing vendors also added to the fun. Aerial demonstrations from Circus Place and instruction on their equipment highlighted the day. Alliance Martial Arts of Hillsborough showed off their expertise in breaking boards and The Lynn Academy of Irish Dance performed and delighted all in attendance. Massages were given out free by Hillsborough Massage Therapy, and Joey G’s supplied the food.

The Strut Your Mutt contest had several winning dogs in costume and The Wayback Machine was the band that played some great 60s music.

Mailbox Business Center of Hillsborough assisted Powerhouse Gym in all of their printing needs and the Hillsborough movie theater offered parking.

Other vendors that participated were: Dave Tilloson of Innovative Financial Group;  Sunrider; Wikihoops of Hillsborough; The Art of Skin Care and The Art of Dentistry of Somerset; Kim Miholics of Silpada; Carlo Samaniego and Cathy Staszcyk of Raw Radical; The Learning Center of Hillsborough; Allegra of Hillsborough; Thirty One; Hillsborough ShopRite; Hillsborough Walgreens; and  Print Pod Inc.

Adam and Eve Hair Salon provided samples of their work, Amergy Solutions showed off their solar energy savings, and SAT Solutions was helping high schoolers get ready for exams.

GNC Manville, Gymboree of Hillsborough–which will open this winter at the old Blockbuster in Hillsborough, Gano Excel, Healing to Wellness, Beauty Society, Empower Somerset, Laura Newman of Eduserve, Au Pair Care, Hillsborough Racquetball Club, Bam Sports, Financial Resources, Natural Permanent Makeup,Financial Resources of Hillsborough, The Areli Group, all contributed in raising money as they showcase their products and services.

Keith Sabinsky of Sabinsky Orthodontics, Jump Zone of Hillsborough, Pat’s Pet Sitting, Kelly Avenoso of Arbonne in Bridgewater, McCarter Theater of Princeton, and Smoothie King also donated baskets, in addition to all the vendors present.
