HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The two famed bald eagle babies at Duke Farms in Hillsborough are all grown up and were recently captured on video taking their first flight. (See the video and a funny TikTok below)

On Sunday, the two chicks, born at the nature preserve at 1112 Dukes Pkwy W in Hillsborough, took their first flight into the air. In the video, the two birds, who are currently all black in color, are seen perched on a limb of the tree near the nest.

The siblings begin to flap their wings before they both suddenly drop below. It looks a bit scary for the viewer but Duke Farms reassured everyone that the eagles were fine.

"The bald eagles are fine. We know it probably looked a little concerning but going to the video, it looks like they both flew off, successfully fledging," said Duke Farms.

Three bald eagle eggs were laid in late January and marked the first of 2021 to be born at Duke Farms. The first egg hatched on Feb. 26 at 6:44 a.m. and the second egg hatched March 2 at 6:02 a.m. The third egg never hatched.
