Bicyclist Hit By Car, Hospitalized In Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a car on Sunday in Montgomery.
On Sunday at 1:52 p.m., Jenny Zhang, 66 of Cranbury was riding a bicycle eastbound on the shoulder of Route 518 when she was hit by a car being driven by a juvenile boy from Belle Mead, said Montgomery Police Lt. Silvio Bet.
The car hit Zhang when she went into the eastbound lane of Route 518 while turning left onto Vreeland Drive, said Bet.

Zhang was wearing a helmet but was hurt and needed medical treatment. Squad 47 took Zhang to Penn Medicine at Plainsboro. The juvenile boy was uninjured, said Bet.
The investigation found Zhang failed to properly signal the turn and was issued a summons. She is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
