BREAKING: Bear Spotted In Hillsborough

"Reminder that bears are in the area, use caution and watch children and pets​," Hillsborough police reported.

Hillsborough, NJ - A bear has been spotted in Hillsborough, police announced Thursday at 5:20 p.m.

The bear was seen in the area of South Branch Road, Eyring Round. 

"Reminder that bears are in the area, use caution and watch children and pets," police reported.

There have been several other bear sightings in the area as well. 

A bear was seen earlier Thursday morning in Warren as well andtwice in Woodbridgeon Tuesday and Wednesday. Black bears were also seen in Scotch Plains on June 8; a second was spotted on June 9 and a baby black bear was seen in South Brunswick in late April.
