Cooling Center Opens In Montgomery Amid Heat Wave

The cooling center will be set up at the Otto Kaufman Community Center and be open daily from Monday through Wednesday.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Montgomery Township have sent up a cooling center in light of the ongoing heat wave.

The cooling center will be set up at the Otto Kaufman Community Center, 356 Skillman Rd., Skillman. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday through Wednesday.

Center users are requested to sign in, fill out a COVID screening form, and wear a mask.

"Residents are welcome to come in, read, rest, play a board game, do paperwork — in other words COOL OFF! There is wifi connectivity and several charging stations are available," according to the township.
