Flood Watch Issued For Somerset County Through Friday
Periods of heavy rain will continue into Friday with up to three inches of rain possible, according to the National Weather Service.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — A flood watch has been issued for Somerset County from Thursday afternoon through Friday by the National Weather Service due to expected heavy rain in the coming days.
Light rain is expected to hit the area on Wednesday night and then intensify later in the day on Thursday, according to the NWS.
Periods of heavy rain will continue into Friday with up to three inches of rain possible. As a result, flooding is possible.

Wednesday Night: Rain, mainly after 8 p.m. Low around 33. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: Rain. High near 50. East wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 44. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Friday: Rain, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 49. East wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind 10 to 17 mph.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38.
Saturday Night: A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Sunday: A chance of snow before 10 a.m, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
