Flooding Closes Griggstown Causeway Friday

MONTGOMERY, NJ — The Griggstown Causeway between Montgomery and Franklin is currently closed due to flooding, officials announced Friday morning.

Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.

Showers are expected for the rest of the day Friday with clearer skies predicted this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 48. Breezy, with a northwest wind 18 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 58. West wind 6 to 9 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
