The programs are for students in grades K through 5 and take place at participating elementary schools. Services are available Monday through Friday. All programs take place on site at the school so parents do not need to leave work to pick up their children mid-day.

“At the Y, we believe all families deserve to have peace of mind while parents are at work,” said David M. Carcieri, president and CEO of Greater Somerset County YMCA. “Too often, working parents feel the intense pressure to find a work/life balance that also includes providing their children with safe and enriching experiences outside of the classroom on school days. Franklin Township YMCA aims to ease this stress on parents through our Y’s affordable Before and After Care program. Quality child care services like this are available at our Greater Somerset County branches in Basking Ridge, Hillsborough and Somerville—as well as on-site for select school districts in our service area. We’re so happy to now offer them to families on-site at all public elementary schools in Franklin Township.”
