Griggstown Causeway Reopens Thursday Following Flooding

The Griggstown Causeway reopened Thursday morning after bring closed since Tuesday afternoon.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — The Griggstown Causeway has reopened Thursday between Franklin Township and Montgomery Township after being closed since Tuesday due to flooding, Somerset County announced.

The Causeway was closed on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. and reopened around 9 a.m. on Thursday.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had reported as of Wednesday night that the water level in the causeway is 10.8 feet high, which is higher than the flooding action stage at 9.5 feet.

As of Thursday morning, the water level is well below flooding stages.
