Halloween Is Headed To Hillsborough With Multiple Events Planned

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough is not letting the coronavirus pandemic put a damper on Halloween as the township's Parks and Recreation department plans multiple events.

Trunk Or Treat

A Trunk Or Treat will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Willow Road Complex at 530 Willow Road. Registration is required to set up a "trunk" with candy and participants will be entered into a "best trunk" contest.

Registration is also required for kids who wish to "treat" at $5 per child. Registration is open until Oct. 23. Masks are required at the event and space is limited.

Children's Halloween Party

A children's Halloween party will be held at Norz Hill Farm at 120 South Branch Road on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Children are encouraged to arrive in costume

Registration is $8 per child and includes a hayride, a pumpkin from the patch, a walk through the kids' bale maze, and a goodie bag. Register by Oct. 29 at noon.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade

A free Howl-O-Ween dog parade and costume contest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 at Ann Van Middlesworth Dog Park at 17 Pleasant View Road. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the parade begins at 9 a.m. at the pavillion.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
