Hillsborough Brothers Open Just Subs In Downtown Somerville

SOMERVILLE, NJ — You could say subs was in their blood. Brothers Mike and Tom Linebarger grew up in Hillsborough and throughout high school worked at Just Subs.

So when the opportunity presented itself for the brothers to open their own franchise, it was an easy decision.

Mike Linebarger began working at the Hillsborough location in 2000 throughout high school. He went off to college, but still worked part-time at the sub shop.

In 2015, Mike Linebarger had an opportunity to purchase the Clinton location and become the new owner. Being successful with that store it was a natural fit to open another location with his brother Tom in Somerville.

“Somerville is a great town,” Mike Linebarger said. “I am from Hillsborough and have been going to Somerville for a long time. I have seen how much it has grown over the past 5 to 10 years. There are tons of new food places and Main Street is becoming a destination.”

When the location at 15 W Main St. became available, the Linebargers jumped at the opportunity to open in Somerville. They officially opened in January.

Just Subs offers subs, wraps, salads, soups, chili and more.

“We make everything fresh to order in front of you,” Mike Linebarger said. “ Customers will go up to slicer and choose their meat and cheese, the bread is baked fresh everyday, and we use farmer’s market ingredients.”

Subs can be customized. Chili is made fresh daily and two to three different soups are offered daily.

Just Subs is open Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
