Hillsborough Dukes welcome Montgomery's youth football in 2019

For 52 years, the Dukes have been the preeminent youth sports organization in the Hillsborough community, teaching young men and women not only the fundamentals of football and cheerleading, but also the importance of teamwork, physical fitness, and academic achievement. Over the years, thousands of our participants have developed long-lasting friendships in a safe and positive playing environment. The organization is a true family.

Pop Warner, the Nation's oldest and most respected youth football program, is offering a new age-based program, and the Hillsborough Dukes have decided to embrace the format! We are enthused and eager to begin the 2019 season, which is now only 5 months away.

We are also thrilled to announce that the Montgomery youth football program will be merging with the Hillsborough Dukes, which can only add to the strength and excitement of the upcoming season! Montgomery and Hillsborough football programs closely align in that we are committed to letting all children learn to play and enjoy football with no tryouts or cutting of rosters. Both programs have a rich history focused on player safety, teaching the fundamentals of the game, and having fun. Our neighboring towns and shared values afford us an ease in maintaining a strong sense of community.

We are very proud of the dedication we invest in our football program and that Montgomery trusts in us to work with their players. They have a lot of talent and that will only make us all stronger. We look forward to welcoming Montgomery’s players and parents to the Dukes community!

The Dukes cheer program is also stronger than ever. We fully anticipate the season will bring State, Region, and National titles just as in prior years! Beginning with our flag team, the cheerleaders are taught the same team spirit and friendship building, while also prepping them for proven success on the mat.
