Hillsborough Girl Scout To Appear On Food Network's Cookie Show
Eighth grader Olivia Altidor will appear on an episode of Food Network's "Girl Scout Cookie Championship" on Monday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Girl Scout Olivia Altidor will be appearing on an episode of Food Network's "Girl Scout Cookie Championship" airing at 8 p.m. on Monday.
An 8th grader at Hillsborough Middle School Altidor got the opportunity to be on the show through the Media Girls branch of Girl Scouts.
Altidor has been a Girl Scout since first grade and a media girl the past three years. Currently she is a Cadette with Troop 60640.

"It felt really cool," said Altidor of being on the show. "Definitely my main focus is to represent Girl Scouts in the best way possible and this gave Girl Scouts great exposure. I am hoping it will spark interest in others to join Girl Scouts. I think Girl Scouts is really great and I think everyone should be a part of it."
On the show Altidor worked with the chefs to help them create an over-the-top Girl Scout cookie inspired dessert.

The desserts are then judged based on flavor, design and creativity for a chance to win an outdoor adventure trip plus a year's supply of Girl Scout Cookies.
"It was really fun and a great experience," Altidor said.
When asked what her favorite Girl Scout cookie is, Altidor said it was hard to pick just one.
"I love the Lemon-Ups which are the newest ones, Tagalongs and of course Thin Mints," Altidor said.
