Hillsborough Guitarist To Perform At Community College's Recital

Michael Eckhart​ will be among the music faculty​ members to perform at Raritan Valley Community College's annual Music Faculty Recital.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough guitarist Michael Eckhart will be among the music faculty members to perform at Raritan Valley Community College Arts & Design department's annual Music Faculty Recital.

Along with Eckhart, featured music faculty will also include: Steve Hudson, piano (New York City); John Loehrke, bass (New York City); John Sichel, piano (Mountainside); and Eldad Tarmu, vibraphone (Union City). Also appearing are guests Renato Thoms, percussion (Brooklyn, New York), and Stacey O'Connell, flute (Ewing).

The program will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, spanning a variety of musical styles, traditions and repertory. Original compositions and arrangements also will be featured.

The recital will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The program will be coordinated by John Sichel, Associate Professor of Music.
