Hillsborough Hero 'Has Truly Put Her Patients Above Herself'

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Kristen Sudol who is nominating her neighbor Caitlin Rusak of Hillsborough.

Hero's job: Health Care

Reason for recognition: Caitlin has two little children, under 4 and has not taken any time off since the pandemic started while working at RWJ Somerset as a Speech Pathologist. She learned how to care for her patients, her family, and herself (she's expecting #3 in December).

One thing to know: Caitlin has truly put her patients above herself. She's in the hospital finding ways to help both inpatients and outpatients during this pandemic and hasn't once complained.
