Hillsborough Home Catches Fire Sunday Morning

Hillsborough Firefighters put out a fire early Sunday morning at a township home. See photos.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough firefighters were able to put out a fire on a township home early Sunday morning.

The fire was reported just after 5 a.m. on Sunday at a home at 2 David Close. Hillsborough Police Department and fire companies came out to find the back outside portion of the home was engulfed in flames, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Robert Meszaros.

Station 37 Fire said a resident was also trying to put the fire out before firefighters arrived.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured, said Meszaros.

The fire does not appear suspicious but remains under investigation, Meszaros.
