Hillsborough Man, 74, Killed In Lawn Mower Accident: Police
John Levinski was killed when a cable that was holding a commercial lawnmower elevated in the air snapped and dropped the mower on Levinski.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A 74-year-old Hillsborough man was killed Sunday evening in an accidental death after police said the man died after a commercial lawnmower fell on him.
John Levinski was pronounced dead about 5 p.m. Sunday when police were called by a neighbor in the 400 block of Township Line Road, police said Monday. Police officers arrived at the home to find Levinski under a lawn mower not breathing, a spokesman from the Hillsborough Police Department said.
Levinski was working on a commercial lawnmower that was hoisted in the air by a cable that was attached to a Kubota tractor. Police said that the cable broke and lawnmower fell on Levinski, who was died from his injuries at the scene, Lt. Mark Syzmanski said Monday.

Syzmanski did not have further details on the incident, which continues to be investigated by police. The death is being ruled accidental by police.
