Hillsborough Rewards Credit Card Program Open For Grant Applications

The Hillsborough Township Credit Card Advisory Committee will open the spring cycle of grant applications on January 14th for the first round of 2015. Committeeman and Liaison to the Credit Card Advisory Committee Carl Suraci stated, “The applications are available for Township based non-profit, senior and youth organizations to apply for grants up to $1,000 funded through the Hillsborough Township Credit Card Rewards Program.”

The grant applications can be found on the Township Website or copies are available at the Municipal Clerk/ Administration Office. Completed applications are to be returned by Febuary 25, 2015.

“The Hillsborough Credit Card Reward program is a great resource for our local organizations that qualify to obtain funding without any expense to our Hillsborough Taxpayers,” commented Committeeman Carl Suraci.

“The Credit Card Advisory Committee maintains a successful track record of awarding grants to various organizations throughout the Township. Residents are invited to apply for the rewards credit card as well by visiting the Affinity Federal Credit Union or visiting them on the web at www.affinityfcu.com/hillsborough. By obtaining and utilizing a reward credit card, funds will continue to be raised for future grant offerings,”concluded Committeeman Suraci.

To date, the Hillsborough Rewards Program has awarded over $30,000 in grants to
community based non-profit organizations that serve youth and seniors.

The credit card program, which is administered through the Affinity Federal Credit
Union – Hillsborough Branch, allows individuals to sign up for a special Hillsborough
Township Rewards Credit Card with a percentage of the usage amount return to the Hillsborough Credit Card trust fund, where it is distributed to various Township non-profit senior citizens group and youth organizations through the grant application process.

Card users receive a point for every dollar spent which can be redeemed for various
reward options such as cash back, gift cards, merchandise and much more.
