The Hillsborough Township Committee race was uncontested for the primary with 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats running.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The polls are closed and the unofficial votes 2021 Primary Election results for Hillsborough Township Committee are tallied.

There were four candidates, two Republicans and two Democrats, vying for the two three-year township committee seats.

Here are the real-time unofficial results for Hillsborough Township Committee (* mark incumbents):

  • Shawn Lipani* - Republican - 1,774
  • Steven Cohen - Republican - 1,695
  • Jeffrey Wright* - Democrat - 932
  • Roger Koch - Democrat - 874

All four candidates will now run for the two township committee seats in the general election on Nov. 2. The Hillsborough Mayor and Committee is currently made up entirely of Republicans with one Democrat.
