Hillsborough's Proven Poké Co. Opening Remains Delayed

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Wondering when Proven Poké Co.'s Hillsborough location will open? There isn't too much to update on the delayed opening.

The eatery which offers their customizable poke bowls and burritos, had initially planned on opening at 649 Route 206 in Hillsborough in November or December of 2018. A year later delays still remain an issue.

"We're super excited for our Hillsborough location but we've run into some delays. I don't have any opening date yet," said a spokeswoman with Proven Poké.

The Hillsborough location will be in the new complex with Starbucks, Chipotle and Sweetberry Bowls. This will be their first location in Somerset County. Currently they have locations in Asbury Park, Hoboken, and Montclair.

The eatery combines a counter-serve experience with Aloha vibes in its laid-back space.

"It builds fast, fresh and tasty poké bowls and burritos using the highest-grade fish with skillfully-crafted sauces, mix-ins and toppings. There's something for everyone on the menu, including non-seafood, gluten and vegan options," the company stated.
