How Hillsborough Teacher Salaries Compare To Rest Of Somerset Co.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Teachers in the Hillsborough Township School District made a median annual salary of about $75,000 during the 2020 budget year, according to state education officials. But how does that compare to other local school districts?

The New Jersey Department of Education recently released its Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median teacher salary in each of the Garden State's school districts and charter schools.

The state Department of Education site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2019 and 2020.

Hillsborough Township schools have a median teacher salary of $75,830, which falls just above the state's median of $70,815.
