Less Extreme Couponing at Hillsborough ShopRite

You don’t have to be an “Extreme Couponer” to clip a few and save some money. Since there are so many coupons available online, via text messages, through the newspaper and, even purchased online through coupon clipping services or on eBay, it can be overwhelming.

In this week’s Frugal Family, we look at matching sale items with online coupons that you can easily print from your computer. This week, we find coupons to match up with items at ShopRite in Hillsborough. Personally, I have two kids who both fit into the upper tray in the shopping cart (but only one can actually sit there, which is a problem), so I will not be running around to different stores. Couponing does not have to be complicated.

First, my favorite thing about ShopRite is the fact that you can create a shopping list in just a few clicks.

1. Go to ShopRite’s online sale circular for the Hillsborough store here.
2. Click on the items you want to purchase this week and they will “magically” appear on the Shopping List to the right.
3. When you’re done creating a grocery list (you can add items not on the sale list later), click on “Go to Full Shopping List” and you can see an expanded view of all of the items you selected.
4. Highlight the list, and right click to copy it, then paste it into Word, which will allow you to add any other items to it and make  notes about coupons, so you'll have a reminder when you are at the store.

You can go to Coupon Mom and sign up for free, then select ShopRite to see not only the sale items, but the coupons, too. Blue, underlined coupons mean they are online and printable. ShopRite in Hillsborough fully doubles coupons up to $.99, so a $.99 coupon equals $1.98 off (the Coupon Mom does show doubling, except for coupons labeled “Do Not Double”).

So, without digging through a newspaper, you can easily save over 20 percent on your groceries just by printing coupons online that are all found through one website. This week alone, you can keep another $10 in your pocket by layering online coupons with sale prices.
