Millstone River Flooded, Roads Closed In Somerset County
Breaking: The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by late Tuesday night. A flood warning is in effect through Wednesday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Following the heavy rain this weekend, the Millstone River remains flooded on Monday at Blackwells Mills and the Griggstown Causeway in Franklin and Montgomery.
A flood warning has been issued until 3:34 a.m. on Wednesday, Somerset County Public Safety announced Monday morning.
As of 8 a.m. on Monday the Millstone River at Blackwells Mills is at 11 feet. Flood stage is 9 feet.

Additionally, the Millstone River at Griggstown Causeway is at 14 feet as of 8 a.m. on Monday. Flood stage is at 10 feet.
Moderate flooding is occurring as a result. The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by late Tuesday evening, the county announced.

Multiple roads in Hillsborough remain closed a result of the heavy rain: Blackwells Mills Road, Millstone River Road between Amsterdam Drive and the Millstone border are closed.
Dukes Parkway East, Blackpoint Road, River Road to the Basilone Bridge, River Road and Riverside Drive, including the areas of Wagner, Deer Path, and Clawson Avenue reopened early Monday morning after being closed on Sunday.
