Montgomery Fireworks Display For 2017

The 2017 Montgomery Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks will be held at Montgomery High School on June 29 at 6 p.m.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — The 2017 Montgomery Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks will be held at Montgomery High School, 1014 Rt. 601 in Skillman on Thursday, June 29 with activities starting at 6 p.m. (Rain date is July 6).

Starting at 6 pm, there will be plenty of games and activities for children, food vendors selling everything from hotdogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken and pizza to deserts like cheesecake, ice cream and the ever-popular kettle corn and funnel cakes. Alcohol is prohibited and all pets must remain at home.

Guests should bring a blanket or chairs and listen to the sounds of "The John Oakes Band" playing hits from today and yesterday from 7 to 9 p.m. up on the stage. After the singing of the Star Spangled Banner at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.), the spectacular display of patriotic fireworks will begin.

Parking:

A limited supply of onsite parking passes are still available for in-person purchase only. Go to the reception area of the Otto Kaufman Community Center, 356 Skillman Rd., Skillman during business hours Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Passes cost $15. Passes can no longer be purchased online. (Handicapped parking spots will be reserved at the high school and will be available at no charge).

Please note: Shuttle Buses will run continuously on June 29 from the Montgomery Upper Middle School, 375 Burnt Hill Rd. in Skillman to the fireworks grounds at Montgomery High School. Shuttles will begin at 6 p.m. and the last run from UMS to the high school will be at 8:55 p.m. Shuttles will run again after the fireworks end to return people to their cars at UMS.
