Somerset Rite Aid To Become COVID Vaccine Site

Stores in Bridgewater, Somerville, and Somerset will get vaccines.

SOMERSET, NJ — Three Rite Aid locations in Somerset County will administer COVID-19 vaccines, including one in Somerset.

New Jersey added Rite Aid stores to its list of public COVID-19 vaccine sites for eligible recipients, including 773 Hamilton Street, Somerset.

The state's vaccine hub website now has listed a number of stores in towns in New Jersey and asked people to sign up here: riteaid.com/pharmacy/covid-qualifier

The following locations will also become vaccine sites in Somerset County:

  • 353 Route 202/206, Bridgewater
  • 132 North Gaston Avenue, Somerville

Somerset County's vaccine sites include the regional megasite in Hunterdon Family Medicine at Bridgewater, Riverside Medical Group Urgent Care Center in Watchung, RWJ Somerset in Somerville, ShopRite Pharmacy in Hillsborough, ShopRite Pharmacy of Bernardsville, and Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg. The New Jersey Department of Health has logged 47,885 shots administered in Somerset County. Somerset County has an estimated population of 328,934, and the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each require two doses per person.

New Jersey is two months into inoculations. Before the process began, state officials made a goal for 70 percent of New Jersey's adults to get vaccinated in six months.
