Steps Together Challenges Community To Walk, Run 5,000 Miles
The funds raised will be used for Somerset County families impacted by a medical crisis.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Steps Together, Hillsborough-based nonprofit organization, is challenging the community to collectively walk or run 5,000 miles by June 30 to help raise funds on behalf of Somerset County families impacted by a medical crisis.
All donations up to $5,000 will be matched by Diane Schilke of RE/MAX Preferred Professionals.
"When COVID hit, three significant fundraisers for Steps Together were cancelled. However, we stepped back from fundraising to ensure the most critical needs of our greater community were met first," said Courtney Newman.

To get back on track the nonprofit launched the 5,000 Miles Community Challenge to raise money for their organization.
Participants can register and then complete any amount of miles on at their own time, on their own course. They can walk it, run it, crawl it. The 5,000 Miles Community Challenge comes with a commemorative T-shirt. Registration closes Monday.
