A Red Flag Warning for the potential of fire spreading was issued Saturday in New Jersey by the National Weather Service.
NEW JERSEY — A Red Flag Warning for the potential of fires spreading was issued Saturday statewide in New Jersey by the National Weather Service.
The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. on Saturday for all parts of the Garden State.
The Red Flag Warning is the result of a combination of strong winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, low humidity of 20 to 25 percent, and dry fuels.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 37. West wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. South wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Sunday Night: Rain. Low around 55. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
