Your Daily Planner for Kids Meal Deals In and Around Hillsborough

I used to scoff when I heard the term “extra mouths to feed,” regarding kids. “It seems so silly!” I thought, “Of course, you are responsible for feeding them.”

The cost doesn’t really hit home until you’re sitting in a restaurant, fighting with your child to flip over the coloring page, then find yourself facing the array of kid entrees (let’s recite them together, shall we, “Chicken fingers or hot dogs with fries, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs or a personal pizza”), which cost between $6 and $12.

It’s relatively cheap, until you multiply that by your number of children. And, for me, with my picky eater, sometimes she eats five fries and calls it a day, so now we’re paying $8 for a third of a potato.

This is why it’s an excellent idea to go to restaurants that are not only kid-friendly, but parent-friendly.

So, here’s your list of daily deals in and around Hillsborough that make paying for kids a little more palatable.  I included some kid-friendly (but non-specific) fare, like pizza, too.

Gabrielle’s Bar & Grill 1351 Centennial Ave Piscataway, NJ 08854:  Kids eat free every Saturday (1 child/every adult entree).

lHOP: 260 Route 206 South: Hillsborough and Bridgewater offer free kids nights each evening after 4 pm. Both restaurants require the purchase of a regular meal per adult per child.
