Funeral Services Set For Lakewood Man Killed In Parkway Crash
Victor A. Lugo, 24, was an aspiring police officer; a 2013 Lakewood High School graduate, he was a pitcher for the Piners' baseball team.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Funeral services have been set for one of the four young men killed early Wednesday in a crash on the Garden State Parkway.
The services for Victor Angel Lugo, 24, will be on Sunday, Dec. 30, according to the obituary on the D'Elia Funeral Home website.
Lugo was a passenger in the Infiniti G37 driven by Kevin Quispe-Prieto when it hit the back of an oil tanker truck on the Parkway Wednesday. Lugo, Kevin Quispe-Prieto, 21, Robert "Bobby" Ordeñana, 23, and Kevin's brother, Jimmy Quispe-Prieto, 23, all were killed in the crash.

A candlelight vigil has been planned for Sunday in Lakewood for Lugo and Ordeñana at 1 p.m. at the John F. Patrick Sports Complex on Vine Street, south of Oak Street. Read more: Parkway Crash Killed Brothers, Marine & Aspiring Police Officer

Lugo's visitation and funeral service are set to begin at 3 p.m. at the Calvary Lighthouse, 133 East County Line Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will follow at 5 p.m.
Lugo was born Nov. 12, 1994, to Evelyn Rodriguez and Alberto Lugo in Freehold. He was a 2013 graduate of Lakewood High School, where he played baseball, pitching for the Piners and also playing third base. He was a car enthusiast, especially his Toyota Supra. He was an aspiring police officer, following in his family's footsteps. Victor was known for his lovable personality and sense of humor.
Victor was an associate of the Lakewood Township Department of Public Works in the Road Department.
Victor is survived by his father, Alberto Lugo; his mother, Evelyn Rodriguez, and her husband Alex Guzman; two siblings, Ryshon Rodriguez and Victoria Lugo; his grandmother, Mami Luz; his nieces and nephews, Eva, Ava, Evan Rodriguez, and Victorious Lugo; his girlfriend, Olga Yllahuaman, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was loved by his entire family and community.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Calvary Lighthouse, 133 East County Line Road, Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Cremation will be private.
