Lakewood Man Wins $1M On $5 Poker Bet In Atlantic City
Borgata officials said the odds were 1 in more than 20 million that the winning hand would be drawn.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Lakewood man is having a very Merry Christmas after a $5 poker bet paid off with a $1 million prize on Sunday in Atlantic City.
The win happened at the Borgata. The casino said the man, identified only as Harold M., had bet $5 on the casino's "6-Card Bonus during Three-Card Poker and wound up with a 6-card royal straight flush of diamonds. For those who aren't poker officionados, a royal straight flush is the ace, king, queen, jack, and 10, all of the same suit; in the 6-card royal straight flush, the 9 is added.
This is the first time this bet has hit at Borgata, casino officials said.

The odds of hitting the bet? The Borgata consulted experts at wizardofodds.com, who said the odds of hitting the 6-card Bonus Royal Flush are 1 in 20,348,320.
