LAKEWOOD, NJ — The Lakewood Planning Board is scheduled to hear the newest proposal for the Eagle Ridge Golf Course property on Tuesday evening.

The proposal for the development called The Parke includes 556 duplex homes plus basement apartments, for about 1,100 residential units, at the site off Cross Street in Lakewood, was supposed to be heard by the planning board in February. But opponents of the proposal by developer GDMS Holdings went to court to seek an injunction to block the plan from moving forward.

Superior Court Judge Marlene Lynch Ford granted a temporary injunction hours before the February meeting. On Monday, Ford ruled the planning board hearing could go forward, according to an Asbury Park Press report, despite objections from residents of The Fairways at Lake Ridge, who have been fighting the proposal in court for months.
