Lakewood Schools Announce Early Dismissal Due To Storm

Breaking: The winter storm that is expected to bring a foot of snow or more to parts of the state is expected to intensify in Ocean County.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — The Lakewood School District has announced early dismissals on Wednesday, March 7, due to the winter storm moving into the area.

The winter storm, which was expected to drop a foot of snow in some parts of New Jersey, is expected to intensify in Ocean County as the day goes on, forecasters say.

All after-school activities have been canceled, according to the notice on the district's website.

The dismissal schedule is as follows:

  • 11:30 a.m. High School and Middle School
  • 12:15 p.m. Clifton, Clarke, Oak
  • 1 p.m. Spruce, Piner, Lakewood Early Childhood Center (LECC)
