OHI Holding Vaccination Event in Lakewood

OHI will be offering Measles and Flu Vaccines aboard its Mobile Medical Unit.

LAKEWOOD, New Jersey – Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc., (OHI), a federally qualified health center with locations in Ocean and Monmouth counties, is holding a Vaccination Event at the Lakewood Health Center, located at 101 Second St, Thursday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The OHI Mobile Medical Unit will be at the facility offering FREE Measles (MMR) Vaccinations to any interested individuals. No appointment is required.

The Flu Shot will also be provided. OHI accepts and works with most insurances. For adult patients without insurance, the regular flu shot costs $20 and the high dose for senior’s costs $40. Through the Vaccines for Children (VFC), a federally funded program, children who do not have insurance, are self-pay patients, or who are recipients of Medicaid Plan A can receive a flu shot at no cost.

Due to the recent outbreak of Measles in Lakewood, OHI is taking a grass roots effort to help the local community and their patient population with these essential vaccines. OHI Health Centers currently carry the MMR and Flu Vaccine.
