Lakewood Returns Miller, Lichtenstein To Township Committee

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Menashe P Miller and Meir Lichtenstein were re-elected to the Lakewood Township Committee on Tuesday, besting a field of five candidates.

There were two, three-year terms available on the committee.

According to unofficial results on the Ocean County Board of Elections website, Miller, a Republican, was the top vote-getter with 11,736 votes. Lichtenstein, a Democrat, received 10,071.

Republican Bruce Stern received 6,482 votes, Democrat Jimmy Esposito 4,777, and independent Aaron Hirsch received 2,299.

In addition there was an uncontested Board of Education race with three candidates seeking three, three-year terms. Heriberto Rodriguez received 10,715 votes. Moshe N. Bender received 10,021 and Chanina Nakdimen received 9,768, according to the unofficial results.
