Thanksgiving 2020 Grocery Store Hours In Lakewood

While Thanksgiving Day feasts are likely to be a little smaller this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean we’re less likely to forget the cranberry sauce, the gravy or the whipped topping for the pumpkin pie.

It’s a terrible feeling — but, luckily, there’s a list of grocery stores that will be open in Lakewood for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips.

In contrast to previous years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving.

Both chains made the decision in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released on its website, Target said the company’s goal is to "make the holiday shopping experience simple, safe, and stress-free.”

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with a list of those that won’t:

CVS: Stores are open regular hours.

• 198 New Hampshire Ave., Lakewood
• 596 River Ave., Lakewood

Rite Aid: The majority of stores will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Call ahead to confirm hours.

• 159 East Kennedy Blvd, Lakewood
• 220 Route 70, Toms River

ShopRite: Most stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

• 260 North County Line Road, Jackson

Stop & Shop: New Jersey stores will be open until 5 p.m.

• 199 East Kennedy Blvd, Lakewood
• 2360 Lakewood Road, Toms River

Walgreens: Stores are open regular hours.

• 2353 Route 9, Toms River
