Marlboro-Based Chinese School Holds Chinese New Year Celebration
The Huaxia South Chinese School celebrated the Chinese New Year at Marlboro High School on Feb 2019
Huaxia Chinese School (HXSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching Chinese language (Mandarin, Simplified characters, and Pinyin) and promoting Chinese culture. Being the largest of its kind in the United States, the school consists of 22 branches serving New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania areas, with over 7,000 students currently at school.
Huaxia South Chinese School, located in Marlboro, New Jersey, is an independent branch founded in 1997 and registered in the State of New Jersey. It is one of the founding schools for Huaxia Chinese School.
Huaxia South Chinese School offers Chinese language courses and Chinese cultural courses. The school opens on Saturday from 1:30 PM to 4:20 PM, with two sessions of Chinese language classes and one session of cultural classes. The school admits students aged 4 and up of any race, color, national and ethnic origin.

Chinese language courses in Huaxia teach Mandarin, Simplified characters and Pinyin (Chinese phonetics system), officially used in China and United Nations. There are eleven levels for Chinese courses, from Pre-school, Pinyin, 1st grade to 9th grade. In addition, the school also offers Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) for non-Chinese heritage families, Chinese SAT, and Chinese training programs for senior adults. Cultural classes include children dance, Kongfu, painting, chess, Chinese crafts, Youth tennis, Tai Chi, waist drum dance, Yoga, Chinese dance, Latin dance, and etc.
