Aberdeen: Cliffwood Ave. Construction Begins Tuesday

A major sewer main project is scheduled to start this Tuesday, Aug. 25 on Cliffwood Avenue​. Details:

ABERDEEN, NJ — A major sewer main project is scheduled to start this Tuesday, Aug. 25 on Cliffwood Avenue.

It will end Thursday, August 27. However, weather and unforeseen conditions may extend the work schedule and traffic conditions.

This project will be located on Cliffwood Avenue between Locust Street and Glassworks Blvd. This project will have a major impact on vehicle traffic for those travelling Cliffwood Avenue into the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen Township. This road closure will take place daily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Cliffwood Avenue will be closed at the intersections of Matawan Avenue and County Road to ALL vehicular traffic traveling in BOTH directions. Local travel will be permitted up until Locust Street coming from Matawan Avenue and in the opposite direction, traffic will be permitted up until Glassworks Blvd.

A full detour plan has been established and approved, which has been posted along the roadways in our area.

The detour plan calls for vehicles to use County Road and Matawan Avenue to navigate around this roadwork. AGAIN, detour signs have been placed up in advance for you to plan ahead.

E.S.K Construction Company will be conducting the sewer main repairs.
