Aberdeen Mom Tricks Kids With Tiny Christmas Tree
This Aberdeen mom said her three kids have been begging her to put up the tree for days now. So she decided to play a little trick on them.
ABERDEEN, NJ — This video of an Aberdeen mother tricking her children into thinking they were going to have a very small Christmas tree may be what we all need right now.
Keirsten Cerovsky, 39, of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, said her three kids have been "begging" her to put the tree up for days now, as soon as Thanksgiving was over.
So she decided to play a little trick on them.

"Honestly, they just kept begging to put up our Christmas tree, and I was just getting our decorations out and one of them is our Charlie Brown Christmas tree," she told Patch. "On Sunday, I decided to put that where our normal tree goes and trick them."
Her oldest, 12, helped played along. The younger two, her 5-year-old boy and her 3-year-old daughter, were alternately furious and then inconsolable at the very, very small, downright depressing little tree.

"It looks horrible," said her 5-year-old son.
Her daughter insisted, "That's not a Christmas tree; it's a plant," and it was only when her son burst into tears that Cerovsky said she had to tell the kids it was all a joke.
"I stopped the video then and we just started laughing and I told them, 'Don't worry, we will put up the real one.' They pretty much just smiled and said they knew I was kidding. I said, 'Sure, you did!'"
