Aberdeen Man Convicted Of Resisting Arrest, Eluding

ABERDEEN, NJ - An Atlantic Highlands man was convicted on charges of reckless driving and eluding police after police maintain he was asleep at the wheel of his vehicle at the intersection of Lloyd Road.

Jordan M. Bolte, 37, of Ontario Avenue, was arrested about 1 a.m. Dec. 10 at the intersection of Lloyd Road and Route 34, after Patrol Officer Bart Szulczynski responded and found Bolte awake in his vehicle but disoriented and exhibiting signs of intoxication, police said.

Bolte then fled west on Lloyd Road against a red traffic signal and continued at low speeds, ignoring police vehicles that were attempting to stop him, authorities said. The vehicle continued into Marlboro where it drove onto the lawn of a residence and came to a stop, police said.

Bolte was taken into custody, according to police.

Bolte was transported to Bayshore Community Hospital for medical screening where he was treated and released.

Bolte was issued complaint summonses pending an initial court appearance.

Szulczynski was assisted by Patrol Officers Ronald Osadacz, Raymond Campbell, Sgt. Michael Lasko and Marlboro police officers.
