Aberdeen Police Blotter, Jan. 1 - Jan. 31

ABERDEEN, NJ — The Aberdeen Township Police Department made the following arrests January 1 through January 31, 2021:

On January 1st, 2021 a 58-year-old Matawan female was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 34. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.

On January 2nd, 2021 a 58-year-old Matawan female was charged with shoplifting following an incident at Shop Rite Food Store. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.

On January 3rd, 2021 a 21-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with possession of CDS (Marijuana) following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 35. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.

On January 4th, 2021 a 46-year-old Old Bridge male was charged with possession of CDS (Marijuana) following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 35. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.

On January 6th, 2021 a 36-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with violation of a court order following an incident on Philip E. Frank Way. Ptl. Ronald Osadacz Jr and Ptl. Christopher Vetter were the arresting officers.

On January 11th, 2021 a 31-year-old Sayreville male was charged with simple assault following an incident on Philip E. Frank Way. Ptl. Martin Walsh was the arresting officer.

On January 12th, 2021 a 59-year-old Shirley, New York female was charged with driving while intoxicated following an incident on Lloyd Road. Ptl John Palumbo was the arresting officer.

On January 12th, 2021 a 33-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with simple assault following an incident of Aberdeen Road. Ptl. Michael Monteiro was the arresting officer.

On January 15th, 2021 a 52-year-old St. Petersburg, Florida male was arrested on contempt of court warrants issued by the Aberdeen and Southampton Municipal Courts. Ptl. Jose Veliz Jr was the arresting officer.

On January 16th, 2021 a 35-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated following an incident on Central Avenue. Ptl. Ronald Osadacz Jr. and Philip Santiago were the arresting officers.

On January 17th, 2021 a 23-year-old Jackson male was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, possession and distribution of CDS (Cocaine, Xanax and Oxycodone) following an incident at Piazza Di Roma. Ptlw. Heather Dillon and William Novak were the arresting officers.

On January 19th, 2021 a 37-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with simple assault following an incident on Philip E. Frank Way. Ptl. Hakim Bryant was the arresting officer.

On January 20th, 2021 a 36-yesr-old Old Bridge male was charged with shoplifting following an incident at the ShopRite. Ptl. Bruce Monro was the arresting officer.

On January 22nd, 2021 a 41-year-old Hazlet male was charged with shoplifting following an incident at the Stop & Shop. Det. Henry Chevalier was the arresting officer.

On January 25th 2021 a 22-year-old Keansby male was charged with possession of CDS (Marijuana) following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 35. Ptl. Thomas Wagner was the arresting officer.

On January 26th, 2021 a 28-yes-old South Amboy female was charged with possession of CDS (marijuana, MDMA and prescription drugs) following a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 35. Ptl. John Palumbo was the arresting officer.

On January 27th, 2021 a 42-year-old Neptune male was charged with aggravated assault following an incident on Glassworks Blvd. Ptl. Hakim Bryant was the arresting officer.

On January 29th, 2021 a 52-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Lenox Road. Ptl. Matthew McDow was the arresting officer.

On January 30th, 2021 a 18-year-old Manalapan male was charged with possession of CDs (Marijuana) following an incident in the Addison Park parking lot. Ptl. Jose Veliz Jr was the arresting officer.

On January 30th,2021 a 21-year-old Aberdeen male was charged with harassment following an incident on Atlantic Avenue. Ptl. Christopher Shaw was the arresting officer.

Officers responded to or initiated 1,038 calls for service between January 1st, 2021 and January 31st, 2021, including 34 motor vehicle accidents; 33 alarms (house/fire); 2 assaults; 5 burglary reports; 4 criminal mischief; 5 crisis interventions; 16 disorderly persons; 14 domestic disputes; 5 fire calls, 99 first aid calls; 6 frauds; 16 harassments; 0 M.V thefts; 7 narcotics; 10 thefts; 1 trespassing; 29 suspicious person/vehicle and 15 welfare checks

Officers issued 174 summonses and conducted 307 motor vehicle stops.
