Aberdeen Police Hiring Part-Time Records Support Technician

Aberdeen Township is seeking to fill the position of a part-time records support technician with the police department, according to Captain Joseph Cole. The position requires about 20 hours per week.  

The technician would be responsible for the compilation, retrieval and distribution of official police documents and information in accordance with applicable law. 

Applicants should have excellent organization and interpersonal skills and have the desire and ability to perform specialized clerical work involving criminal and other law enforcement records. Applicants must be willing to undergo an extensive criminal background investigation and any conviction for a felony, fourth degree or higher, will automatically disqualify the applicant. 

This position is part-time and does not carry any type of paid time off or health insurance benefits, but it does have the potential to become a full-time position, according to Cole.
