Aberdeen Police Join With Monmouth County For Holiday Joy, Toys

Police throughout Monmouth County - including Aberdeen - participated in fourth annual "Wishing Upon A Star" Toy Drive

ABERDEEN, NJ - Cheif John T. Powers on Saturday represented the Aberdeen Township Police Department at the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission in Asbury Park at the fourth annual "Wishing Upon a Star" Community Christmas Festival.

It was sponsored by the Monmouth County Police Chiefs Association, Pilgrim Baptist Church and the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission and Thrift Store.

Each police chief was tasked with bringing two toys to the event, which Santa then distributed to some 100 children in need.

But the Aberdeen police were a little more active at another fundraiser, one day later. At Air Trampoline Sports Aberdeen, police joined with the Cliffwood Beach Community Watch at their first Jump for Toys event.

It was the perfect event if trampolines are on your bucket list. Or if you want to raise money for a good cause in a unique way.
