Aberdeen Police Respond to 281 Calls
Shoplifting, calls from individuals purporting to be IRS agents also reported in this week's Aberdeen police blotter.
The following is a list of crimes and incidents reported in Aberdeen between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11. The police blotter is provided directly by the Aberdeen Township Police Department and is reproduced here, unedited.
- Special Officer Joseph Mason arrested a 26-year-old Keyport man on a contempt warrant out of Aberdeen municipal court on February 5.
- P.O. John Zeller arrested a 49-year-old Old Bridge man on a contempt warrant out of Old Bridge municipal court following an incident at AMF Strathmore Lanes parking lot on February 6.
- Joseph M. Donovan, 28, Aberdeen, was charged with reckless driving and driving while intoxicated following an incident on Hwy. 34 February 7. P.O. Frank Maisano was the arresting officer.
- P.O. Raymond Campbell arrested a 19-year-old Keansburg woman on a contempt warrant out of Red Bank municipal court following a motor vehicle stop on Hwy. 35 on February 10.
- On February 5 Det. Louis Nanna investigated a report of a missing person on Glenmere Way.
- On February 6 P.O. Gus Grivas investigated a report of criminal mischief at the construction site of the Cambridge Club, Lloyd Rd.
- On February 7 an Arlington Ave. resident reported someone used her identity to open a charge account and made purchases on it. P.O. Mary Johnston took the report.
- A resident of Strathmore Gardens, Atlantic Ave., reported receiving harassing phone messages on February 7. P.O. Roger Peter investigated.
- On February 8 a resident of Ellen Court reported receiving phone calls from individuals purporting to be Internal Revenue Service agents. P.O. John Young took the report.
- P.O. Michael Lasko responded to a Beaver Place residence on February 9 on a report of harassment.
- A white female in her 60s shoplifted several items and fled from the Shop Rite store, Lloyd Rd., on February 9. P.O. Matthew McDow investigated.
- On February 11 an Arbordale Dr. resident reported someone attempted the fraudulent use of her credit card and tried to open other accounts in her name. Â P.O. Gus Grivas took the report.
