Aberdeen’s 2021 Summer Concert Series: The Schedule

Come hear Southern Steel, Random Test Reggae, Screaming Broccoli and other bands. Every Tuesday night this summer at Veterans Memorial Park.

ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen Township’s Recreation Department’s 2021 summer concert series kicks off July 6 at Veterans Memorial Park in Cliffwood Beach, with a mix of popular returning acts and newcomers.

Shows, which are free of charge, take place each Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your coolers, blankets, chairs and bug spray, and come out for a night of fun.

The schedule for summer 2021 is as follows:

July 6: Frontiers. New to the Aberdeen stage, this Journey tribute group covers all the of the band’s greatest hits, including “Open Arms,” “Separate Ways” and “Don’t Stop Believing.”

July 13: Madison Avenue. Returning from last year, this seven-piece local band offers a diverse repertoire with songs for everyone.

July 20: Arena. Capturing the big sound and power of some of the greatest rock performers of our time, including Boston, Journey, Pat Benatar, and Guns N’ Roses, Arena is also making its Aberdeen debut this summer.

July 27: Tequila Rose. This additional newcomer to the series performs the hottest new country hits, along with some country classics and classic rock.

August 10: Good Vibrations. The Aberdeen concert series will be bringing the classic sounds of the 60s with this band’s performance of songs by the Beach Boys and Four Seasons.

August 17: Random Test Reggae. By popular demand, this group is returning to the Aberdeen stage, bringing the sounds of authentic reggae and calypso rhythms in true West Indian fashion.

August 24: Southern Steel. Back for the third year, this Keyport-based southern classic rock band will perform songs by the Allman Bros., Lynyrd Skynrd, Molly Hatchet and many more. (One of the band’s members is a retired Keyport police officer!)

August 31: Screaming Broccoli. Another returning group, this band will be covering the greatest hits of the 90s and beyond.

“We are pleased to usher in the summer season with another great lineup of performers,” said Assistant Recreation Director Brittany Shea. “We look forward to seeing you and your families out at our beachside venue.”
