ABERDEEN, NJ — It’s time to get in the holiday spirit at Aberdeen’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Wednesday, Dec. 4, which will feature new attractions this year, including an ice sculpture artist.
The event will take place at Aberdeen Town Hall, 1 Aberdeen Square, at 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to help decorate the tree by bringing an ornament with their family’s last name on it. (Ornaments will remain on the tree until after the holidays.)
The lighting ceremony will feature all of the classics, including pictures with Santa Claus, free cookies with hot chocolate and a performance by the Matawan-Aberdeen Middle School Chorus. New additions to this year’s festivities also include carolers to help spread the holiday cheer.
