Aberdeen Warns Of Package Thieves, Provides Tips To Help
Aberdeen officials are counseling residents to be wary this holiday season of thieves who steal packages from front doors.

ABERDEEN, NJ - Authorities are warning residents to protect themselves and their holiday gifts or purchases by limiting the number of packages that are left vulnerable to thieves looking to ruin the happy season.
According to a notice on the township's Facebook page, officials recommend dealing directly with the U.S. post office in your community, either to drop off or pick up. Use signature confirmations to make sure you can account for everything sent or received; provide delivery instructions for the shipper; redirect packages to a neighbor or relative.
Other suggestions include posting warning signs for thieves. Signs for security systems can be a great deterrent for thieves, officials said.

If possible and the boss approves, have packages delivered to work and if purchasing from a larger retailer, request the package is delivered to the nearest store.
